ABOUT
Technology
The Baswood Dry Cycle Aerobic Digestion System is a patented technology that digests a wide range of commercial, industrial and municipal organic waste in a series of mixed biological fixed film reactors. The Baswood System treats waste with elevated BOD levels with the uniquely combined benefits of increased solids retention time and decreased hydraulic retention time. The process does not require expensive chemicals, enzymes, or special bacteria and has proven lower lifecycle costs within a smaller footprint than traditional treatment systems.
The Baswood core technology is based on patented, series flow control of proven wastewater treatment methods using Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components. Waste is fed through a series of packed reactors, with the sludge component recycled and subsequently wasted from the system in a precisely controlled manner. Units require significantly less operational horsepower as compared to same-size traditional aerobic systems, reducing the on-site infrastructure needs and operational energy demand. The units are also self-buffering which translates to avoided chemical costs to the end-user. The Baswood control system is easy to use and can be operated on-site or remotely.
Baswood’s modular system is shop assembled in a small, portable footprint and is delivered as “plug-and-play” units integrated within standard commercial shipping containers. The scalable design can be easily customized to the flow requirements of each customer and supports simplified on-site installation, logistics, operation and maintenance.
